Notes | Harvest 2022 threw just about everything at us to challenge even the most seasoned grower. From a cool, damp flowering period, beautiful hot January followed by super wet February, huge disease pressure all round, etc. Fortunately from the beginning of March onwards, the fine weather returned and stayed. While yields were down on average, the fruit that was harvested was in the main very good and we’re looking forward to some great wine. Not a stellar vintage, but not bad either. A soft floral and strawberry nose with a hint of elderflower. The off-dry palate is zesty with pleasant flavours of apple and melon. |

Professional Reviews & Awards
5 Stars
By Sam Kim, Wine Orbit 2022This is instantly appealing on the nose showing ripe strawberry, watermelon, crunchy apple and floral notes, followed by a refreshing palate offering bright fruit flavours with fine texture and zesty acidity, offering terrific drinking. At its best: now to 2024.
Premium
By Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier 2022Aromas of fresh peach and apple, red cherry and sweet cranberry. Very fragrant too with a fruity core. Youthful and enticing. Equally fruity and youthful on the palate with light red fruit flavours now including a whisper of strawberry all reflecting the bouquet. There’s a refreshing salivating mouthfeel with a light mineral quality accentuated with the acid line. Balanced, well made, satin smooth and quite lush. Best drinking from 2022 through end of summer 2024.
