Notes | This single vineyard Syrah is a mix of three clones. Mass Selection (MS) makes up 57% of this blend, Chave 38% and 877, 5%. This wine is a blend of multiple different batches, all of which had differing treatments during fermentation. Using a mix of pump overs and hand plunging, this has helped in creating rich but fine tannins, whilst still retaining fruit forward style of Syrah. Each batch was matured for 10months in seasoned barrels, with 10% in new French oak. Vibrant with a deep purple hue. Intensely aromatic with ripe Boysenberries and a hint of white pepper on the nose. Rich and full with flavours of boysenberry, spice and pepper. Finished by soft tannin. |
