Brightwater Vineyards Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2021
The 2021 Brightwater Vineyards Nelson Sauvignon Blanc has wonderful aromas of citrus and gooseberry introduce this fresh, aromatic, full-bodied wine. The palate is well balanced with succulent gooseberry and passionfruit characters, fine minerality and a crisp lingering finish.

Notes | TASTING NOTES Pale straw colour. “Wonderful aromas of citrus and gooseberry introduce this fresh, aromatic and full-bodied wine. The palate is finely balanced with succulent gooseberry and passionfruit characters, fine minerality and a crisp lingering finish.” WINEMAKING This wine was crafted from grapes sourced off our Home Block and our Ranzau Road Vineyard grown on the free draining stony loam soils of the Hope Plains in sunny Nelson. Careful work in the vineyard to remove leaf from around fruit zone resulted in clean ripe grapes with bright, classic Sauvignon Blanc flavours. In the winery the clear juice of each vineyard parcel was cool fermented separately in stainless steel tanks using specially selected yeast strains to enhance fruit aroma and flavour. Each component was then held separately and matured for six weeks on yeast lees to allow the fruit characters to fully integrate. After careful blending trials, selected tanks were combined to make the Brightwater Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc. This wine is Vegan friendly. |
