Notes | A vibrant Chardonnay from the Puketapu and Tutaekuri River Valley Regions in the Hawke's Bay wine region, which is known for producing exceptional Chardonnay wines. We select and harvest premium parcels of Chardonnay fruit, innoculate the wine with classic Burgundian Chardonnay yeast, and allow it to spend six months on lees with portions of the blend in 1,000L German oak Fuder barrels and 300L French oak barrels. The end result is a fresh and vibrant Chardonnay with beautiful ripe peach and nectarine flavours, a luscious texture with creaminess and complexity on the palate and a spicy cedar finish. |
